Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQ

I can't find what I'm looking for on your site. Do you offer products not listed here?

We'll do our best to fulfill any order. If we can't, we'll do our best to help direct you to someone who can!

What type of images should I use for custom printed signs?

Unless the image is in vector format, the image needs to be fairly large to translate well to large print.

Who is responsible for proofing my artwork?

You are. Carefully inspect your final design proof before submitting. If we find any uploaded images to be of insufficient quality for printing, we reserve the right to notify you and refuse the fulfillment of any order.

What areas do you do work in?

We are located in West Knoxville but have completed jobs in Farragut, Lenoir City, Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Maryville, Alcoa, Jefferson City, Johnson City, Chattanooga and even Nashville, among others. If you are located in East Tennessee we can get what you need, and if you are further it doesn't hurt to ask!

Wrap FAQ

What's involved in a wrap?

All wraps involve three phases. First, we get the appropriate measurements and do a design per your specifications. Second, the graphics are printed and laminated to protect from abrasion and UV rays. Third, the wrap will be installed on your vehicle, wall, or floor.

How long will my wrap last?

That depends on the application. If you are doing the inside of a business the wrap could be good indefinitely, depending on sun exposure. The average life expectancy of a vehicle wrap is 4+ years. Floor wraps in high-traffic areas don't last quite as long due to all the traffic!

How much will my wrap cost?

The average nationwide price for a wrap is $15 per square foot, but here at Great American Signs the average price is $12 per square foot. The price includes 3-4 hours of design time, in addition to the time printing, laminating, and installing the wrap.

How can I justify the cost of a wrap?

There is no more cost-effective advertising method available than wraps. As an example, the cost per impression of a vehicle wrap is significantly less than television, radio, billboards, and Yellow pages. In addition, your wrap is working to promote your business 24 hours a day.
